Ten orders of Radiants, one very important question: which one is actually you? This Knights Radiant quiz asks ten quick questions and matches you with one of the ten orders from Brandon Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive. It takes about two minutes. No wrong answers, no homework. 🙂
I tried to keep it spoiler-light. You will see the names of the orders and a few of their ideals, but nothing about who ends up where in the story. If you have not read the books yet, that is fine. You might even pick up a favorite order before you start chapter one.

Take the Knights Radiant quiz
Pick the answer that sounds most like you on a normal day, not the one you wish was true. Your result shows up at the end, along with a runner-up.

How this Knights Radiant quiz works
There are ten questions, each with four answers. Every answer points mostly at one order and a little at a second one. At the end the quiz adds it all up, shows your top order, and names a runner-up. If two orders tie, the one you picked more directly wins.
It is a fan-made quiz built by me, with my own art, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Brandon Sanderson or Dragonsteel. The order details come from the Coppermind’s Knights Radiant page, which is the best fan reference for the whole Cosmere. That site has spoilers for everything, so be careful if you are mid-book.
The ten orders at a glance
Here is a quick, spoiler-light look at each order, in case you want to know what your Knights Radiant quiz result means. Each one bonds with a different kind of spren and uses two of the ten Surges, which are the basic forces behind Radiant powers.
Order of the Windrunners. Spren: honorspren. Surges: Adhesion and Gravitation. Protectors. Their Second Ideal is about shielding those who cannot shield themselves. You might be this one if you are always the first to jump in when a friend needs help.
Order of the Skybreakers. Spren: highspren. Surges: Gravitation and Division. Justice-minded and rule-driven. They put the law first, and the big question is always which law. You might be this one if you care a lot about fairness and read the whole rulebook.
Order of the Dustbringers. Spren: ashspren. Surges: Division and Abrasion. Also called Releasers. Powerful and often destructive, with an ideal built around self-control. You might be this one if you have big energy and work hard to keep it under control.
Order of the Edgedancers. Spren: cultivationspren. Surges: Abrasion and Progression. Quick, kind and quietly stubborn. They remember the people everyone else forgets. You might be this one if you are playful, kind and the first to notice who is being left out.
Order of the Truthwatchers. Spren: mistspren. Surges: Progression and Illumination. Seekers and healers. Their ideal is to look for truth wherever it hides. You might be this one if you are curious, patient and good at seeing what others miss.
Order of the Lightweavers. Spren: Cryptics. Surges: Illumination and Transformation. Artists and illusionists. They have no ideals past the first, and advance by speaking personal truths. You might be this one if you make things and tell yourself the truth about them.
Order of the Elsecallers. Spren: inkspren. Surges: Transformation and Transportation. Thinkers and self-improvers. Like Lightweavers, they advance through personal aspirations instead of shared oaths. You might be this one if you love a plan and a better version of yourself.
Order of the Willshapers. Spren: Reachers, also called lightspren. Surges: Transportation and Cohesion. Free spirits. Their Second Ideal is about seeking freedom for those in bondage. You might be this one if you hate being boxed in and love a good escape route.
Order of the Stonewards. Spren: peakspren. Surges: Cohesion and Tension. Steady and dependable. They step forward when everyone else falls back. You might be this one if you are the dependable one everybody calls first.
Order of the Bondsmiths. Spren: three unique spren. Surges: Tension and Adhesion. The rarest order. Their Second Ideal is to unite instead of divide. You might be this one if you are the glue that holds the group together.
What the First Ideal has to do with your result
Every Radiant, in every order, swears the same First Ideal: “Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.” After that, each order has its own words. I like that the order you land on in this Knights Radiant quiz is less about power and more about what you do when somebody needs you.
That is also why a result you did not expect is worth a second look. You might hope for a flashy order and land on a quiet one that fits you better.
Tips for getting a result that fits
A Knights Radiant quiz is only as honest as the answers you give it. A few things that help:
- Answer fast. Your first instinct is usually closer to the truth than your second.
- Pick what you would really do, not what a hero would do.
- Do not think about the order you are hoping for. That is how people end up arguing with their own result.
- If two answers feel equal, pick the one you would be more comfortable defending to a friend.
Once you have your result, take the Knights Radiant quiz again and answer as the person you want to become. Seeing how that result differs from the first one is a fun exercise on its own.
Knights Radiant quiz FAQ
Is this Knights Radiant quiz official?
No. It is a fan-made quiz from Nerd News. It is not connected to Brandon Sanderson, or Dragonsteel, and none of the art is from the books.
Do I need to have read the Stormlight Archive?
It helps, but you do not need to. The quiz is about your personality, and each result explains the order in plain words.
What if I want a different result?
That’s kind of cheating, but ok. Hit “Retake the quiz” to run the Knights Radiant quiz again and answer a little differently. If you keep landing on the same order, that is probably your order.
Gear for your order
Whatever order your Knights Radiant quiz result says, we have Stormlight gear for you. Browse the Stormlight Archive collection for stickers, posters and tees made for fans of the series.
Drop your result in the comments, or send this Knights Radiant quiz to the friend who is definitely a Windrunner. Keep an eye on Nerd News for more Stormlight takes.
Our take: Personality quizzes work best when the result feels earned, so we wrote the answers around how people actually act, not around power levels. I think that is why the best result is not always the flashiest one. If you got Stoneward or Edgedancer and felt a little disappointed, give it a day. I would argue the quiet orders deserve a lot more love.
